Best known as just San Bernardo, this is one of the most picturesque and visited Atlantic beaches of Buenos Aires. This is the gateway to Partido de la Costa coastal district of Buenos Aires.

It is also known as "the Pearl of the Coast" due to its fast growth as a tourist attraction and for the unique beauty of the city. It is especially characterized by the family vacation spots in the area, that's why it is also called La Ciudad de la Familia.

The pedestrian Chiozza offers a cosmopolitan ambience during the summer, along one and a half peaceful kilometers of trees, fashion, bars, coffee shop, ice cream stands and other commercial offers.

San Bernardo Avenue is the main way leading to the beach with their outstanding bars and dancing discotheques.

Every year, on the third week-end of December, takes place the National Festival of the Sun and the Family of San Bernardo, Buenos Aires. This festival is the opening of the summer season of the coastal district.

Among the activities of this festival are a parade of different institutions, blessing of the waters, election of the queen, artistic numbers of first level and more.

Plaza de la Familia

Within the frame of huge trees, the artisans fair exhibits the arts and crafts of local artisans and from the whole region. Here also takes place the Festival of the Sun and the Family on the third weekend of December.
