Carilo is a settlement in the District of Pinamar , Province of Buenos aires, near the District of Villa Gesell. It is a Natural Reserve of forests, dunes and 3 Km of beaches. Carilo is one of the main points of attraction to tourist and one of the most privileged places to live. The local community stated the objective of natural conservation as first priority, in addition to taking steps against uncontrolled urbanization.
Without the human intervention this would have been a region of pure gigantic dunes. In this case the modification of nature by man was positive without violating environment conservation by creating this paradise for visitors and inhabitants.
After 88 years of history this beaches maintain their tranquility side by side with excellent tourist services, making it an excellent spot for a vacation trip. "Don't leave the room window open, a peacock might find his way in" - would say the hotel receptionist and he wouldn't be joking. There are six "royal peacocks" wandering around in the village. They belong to "Carillo Village" but they are left to wander around freely.

How to get there: From route No 2, Km# 206 (Dolores interchange), then route No 63 until Esquina de Crotto and route No. 56 to Pinamar. From there taking route No. 11 to Carilo
